Extended attributes for Objects are now Picklists and not strings

Production Admins wanted the provisioned asset attributes such as state, county, Lease Name to be picklists and not string attributes. We understood their pain points and incorporated the required changes where extended attributes such as state, district, county, lease name, and others are now picklist which greatly reduces time and user errors when the assets are being configured in JOYN Oil and Gas Production.

Allow bulk upload of networks that have multiple disconnected networks within them.

Production Accountants have asked for a capability to upload multiple disconnected networks at once since they often would wish to see multiply disconnected ( island) networks within the same networks. We listened to their concerns and provided the capability to upload allocation networks that have multiple disconnected networks in them. This provides much-needed flexibility to the Production Accountants and reduces the time and effort needed in setting up such networks.

Duplicate an existing formula meter while trying to create a new formula meter.

Production Accountants often create formula meters that are similar and hence needed a capability where they can copy a formula meter and use them to build another formula meter. We understood this need of the PAs and developed a capability where the user can duplicate an existing formula meter and make modifications to it to create a new formula meter. This would help in significantly reducing the time taken to create new formula meters and configure allocation networks.

Bulk configure Allocation Configs, Volume Sources, Master-Child tank association, and Formula meters.

Production Accountants wanted a quick way to configure allocation networks right from creating the network graphs to assigning allocation configs, volume sources,master-child tank associations, and configuring Formula meters. We listened to their needs and incorporated the capability to perform these actions through the standard bulk upload methodology used across the product. The PA now can use this capability to upload multiple allocation networks at once, assign allocation configs for them, assign volume sources, and configure formula meters for the same.

Readings used in formula meters trigger allocations, when changed

Production Accountants wanted the triggered allocations to be extended to readings being used in formula meters also. We listened to their concerns and built the capability where readings used in formula meters in a network, when changed would trigger allocations for the dispositions where the formula meters are relevant volume or ratio sources. This would make triggered allocations functional even in cases where disposition volumes sources are exclusively set up using formula meters.

Object Name updates automatically update the allocation networks

Production Accountants found that changing asset names and other properties were not reflecting on the allocation networks which were already created before the asset updates. We listened to this concern of theirs’ and developed the product capability where any updates to asset names would automatically update all the network versions where the assets have been a part of. This greatly reduces the confusion caused due to allocation networks showing the older asset names and eliminates the pain in fixing these mismatches.

Search for an object and navigate directly to the networks versions which contain this object.

Production Accountants often want to navigate to a network containing an asset since they need to take some corrective action for that asset. We identified this pain point of the PAs and build the capability to search for an object and navigate to the allocation network containing this object. This greatly reduced the time and effort taken to identify the network containing and specific object and view/open the allocation network.

View reading attributes, their values, and reading dates for all the transactions which were used for generating an allocation result.

Production Accountants want to know the exact transaction data which was used for generating a specific set of allocation results. We heard their concerns and build the capability to display the readings, their values, and dates, which went into generating the allocation results in addition to the disposition results on the canvas. This allows the PAs to debug the allocation problems without the need to navigate out of the allocation network, saving them significant time and effort.

Formula meters show the latest object names now.

Production Accountants have always found it confusing and annoying when names of objects in formula meters do not auto-update when changes from the assets grid. We noticed this pain-point of theirs ‘and developed the capability where object names shown in formula meters are always the latest updated ones in the system( asset grid). This avoids the confusion and the pain involved in making these object name corrections manually in the formula meter, saving significant time and effort for the PAs.

Gas Reconciliation pressure and temperature base are configurable tenant-level settings now

Production Accountants often want to determine the pressure and temperature base at which they would want to do Gas sales reconciliation. We listened to their concern and developed the capability where the pressure and temperature base are configurable properties which are a standard across all the Gas purchasers. This allows the Production Accountants to define their own standard bases for Gas Reconciliation, suitable to their production operations and regulatory requirements.

Bulk Re-invite of users from the admin console

IT admins have felt the need to be able to invite/add multiple users so that they can get access to JOYN Oil and Gas Production instead of doing this one at a time. We heard their request and developed the bulk upload capability where multiple users can be sent invitations to signup and use JOYN O&G Production. This significantly saves the time taken to send invites to multiple end-users, which was done one after the other earlier.

Production Plot with Actual Production, Forecast, Well Pressure charts and Downtime

Production Operators would want to know additional information such as forecast variance, well pressure, downtime in addition to knowing actual production at a well level. We listened to their requirements and developed the production plot which has the capability to show downtime charts right below actual production and forecast variance, well pressure charts selectable from a dropdown. This provides all the relevant information for the production operator in one place helping them take necessary action quickly.

Mapping production plot parameters

Production Operators often wish to configure/select different measures they wish to see in a production plot. We provide a UI for the admin to map the different measures to a production plot and also leave out any non-mandatory measures they do not wish to see in the production plot. This helps the Production Operators view their production data of interest by configuring their own custom production plot.

North Dakota Form 16 – Salt Water Disposal Report

Production Accountants wanted the capability to generate Form-16 reports for all their Salt Water Disposal wells for the state of North Dakota. We listened to their requests and build the capability to generate the North Dakota Form-16 report which captures all the necessary regulatory information. This results in extensive time savings for the PAs in not having to manually create these reports from the exported raw data.

Louisiana R5D and G3 reports

Production Accountants wanted the capability to generate regulatory reports R5D and G3, for the state of Louisiana. We listened to their requests and build the capability to generate the R5D and G3 reports, which captures all the necessary regulatory information. This results in PAs not having to manually create these reports every month, saving them significant time and effort.
